6 mo & Camping!

Will & Lexi will be 6 months old on Tuesday!  We will have an update on their weight and measurements after their 6 month check-in.  In the meantime, we wanted to share pictures from our weekend camping trip--we did an overnight test run at our favorite reservoir for June camping (it's east of Denver, so not high altitude) and the water is warm.

The babies are also eating now.  So far, their diet includes rice cereal, sweet potatoes, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, prunes, apricots, and avocado.  More culinary treats to come!

Mom and Dad, you didn't call "seatback". (I guess we are in the market for two more of these chairs).

From the outside.  The babies are in the "garage".

Willy T prefers the big kid cots over his crib.

Ready for bed; before we went to bed, we added another layer on top of these, which kept the babies warm and sleeping with an overnight low of 40.

Relaxing by the campfire.

The panoramic view of Camp Kelly.

It's cold at 6 am (when the babies wake up); on our test run we learned that Mom and Dad need warmer clothes for this time of day.

At least Will and Lexi were properly bundled!  Advantage of 6 am: we get to see the sunrise (behind Chase's shoulder)!

Worth every penny of the upcharge for an electrical hookup.  This is a bottle warmer.

Go Broncos!

Tummy time in the back of the truck.

Our future's so bright we have to wear shades.

Much better than the chairs Mom and Dad brought for us.

Baptism

We all made a trip up to Fairfield, MT (Ricki's Hometown) to meet Great Grandma Donna and have William and Alexis attend Ricki's home church for their baptism. The babies did very well on their first plane ride and were stars at church. Everybody was glad to meet them and their baptism outfits were a hit (Thanks Lele).

Broadmoor

We are checking in this morning from the Broadmoor, one of Colorado's gems located in Colorado Springs. The Colorado Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) Annual Conference is here. This is the babies' first hotel stay and quite a nice place to mark the occasion. Chase is in sessions until noon today and then we can enjoy the property together! Photos below include:(1) arriving yesterday with some clouds; (2) the amazing bathroom that is big enough for 2 cribs; (3) Chase and the babes at the hotel bar; (4) me and the babes at the hotel bar; (5) out walking this morning; (6) where I'm posting from enjoying sun on my face, the newspaper, coffee and the peace and quiet of a lovely morning.

4 Months!

It's been awhile since we posted, so I thought I'd post some pics to tell the story of the last month or so. We're having fun and the babies are smiling a lot, laughing some and starting to learn the ropes at daycare.
We got to spend a week with Grandpa Bill during Mom's first week back to work.  It was great!
We make a lot of laundry.

We love Uncle John (aka baby whisperer) and Lele!

We had fun meeting Uncle Steve and getting lots of love from Lele!  Lele also hung out with us for Mom's third week back to work and we had a great time (Mom was slacking and didn't get any pictures).

We enjoyed our first ski season and parking lot BBQ in Winter Park!

I like to "stand up" with the help of the bouncy device.

So do I.

During Dad's week of childcare, we visited Mom's work (this is in a study room at DU Law School).  Dad figured out how we could "study" March madness live on the Ipad.

We love it outside!

We have fun playing with Mom after work.

We got a really fun wall hanging and matching book from Great Aunt Charlie and we love the graphic print on the wall hanging (William's crib has the best view).  Thanks Aunt Charlie!

We had fun meeting Aunt Julia!

Grandpa Tom "exposed" me to the wonders of the SI swimsuit issue.

Grandpa Bill and Grandma Dev keep getting roped into feeding us early in the morning.  Mom taught Grandpa the art of baby feeding and coffee drinking at the same time!
