William and Alexis continue to progress in the NICU. They both needed additional lights for their elevated bilirubin, but we're told they expect it to continue to rise until tomorrow. We had a good morning of holding them and feeding. They both are slowly able to increase the amount of food they get each time they "eat."
Grandma Leigh Ann was back in town today and was able to see all the progress they've made since they were born. As you can see from the pictures both William and Alexis seemed happy to be held by her.
William was having a little trouble breathing and earned himself a cannula in his nose and a chest x-ray but the doctors say he is still doing well and this is not unexpected. Ricki gets discharged from the hospital tomorrow so we will have to get in a new routine for coming to visit them.
