Thursday Night!

Here's the new big kid cribs--out of the isolets!

More progress:

Today, both William and Lexi's nose tubes were removed because they have been doing so well feeding that there is no need to keep this back-up plan.  That means William has no more tubes on his face and Lexi just has her oxygen (which is a small amount she can come home with).

There was talk of possible discharge on Saturday for Lexi during rounds today, which requires full eating, weight gain, and no bradycardia events (bradies).  Since, she unfortunately had 2 bradies, which are physiologically normal for premies and may or may not require her to remain in the NICU.  It depends upon the attending physician philosophy.  We will see what is decided during rounds tomorrow morning whether Saturday is still a realist discharge possibility for our girl.

Either way, we are thrilled they are both doing so well, and look forward to getting them home when the time is right.

William: look, a face free of tubes!

Lexi: still on oxygen, but can come home with this tube!
